The one message that I want to teach my daughter is that her true beauty comes from being her authentic self. It is difficult finding who you really are and then showing yourself to a world that wants to make us like everybody else. We aren’t all charismatic and extroverted in this world that teaches we should be – - but there is something beautiful and mysterious about those who are quiet and reserved. Or in a world who constantly pushes individuality – I find it beautiful to be the kind of person who longs to connect – who does care what someone else thinks. It takes all types and there is no one way to be. There is a unique beauty in each of us waiting to be discovered and expressed. If only we could stop and look to discover how to find each person’s own kind of beautiful.
